Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) President Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong said he hopes Philippine economic growth in 2022, the “Year of the Tiger” starting February 1 with the Chinese Lunar New Year, shall be 6.5% due to the country’s positive macroeconomic fundamentals, good fiscal and monetary policies, nonstop infrastructure modernizations, stimulus of election spending and start of world’s biggest free trade zone RCEP centered on Asia.

Dr. Lim said he hopes the Alert Level 3 shall only affect the first quarter of 2022, and that all sectors should cooperate with upholding face masks, health protocols and vaccinations in order to sustain Philippine economic recovery and creation of more jobs.
