Watami Japanese Casual Dining Opens in Glorietta 3 w/ a New Look!

The holidays is getting busier by the day as Christmas approaches. And The Bistro Group is making sure to be there when your hunger pangs strike while yuletide shopping, with the opening of Watami‘s latest branch in Glorietta Mall, Makati City.

Located at the 3rd Level of Glorietta 3, Watami Grill & Sushi Bar has just opened this branch a few days ago with its new look incorporating modern accents and a dash of Sakura flare in a corner or two.

We’ve dined in a few branches of Watami years back, and this redesign is a sure welcome change. In fact, I would say it’s good timing as the local restaurant scene is on the rise as well.

Japanese Food We Love

As for the food, we’re used to their sushi, maki rolls, sashimi, tempura and ramen, just to name a few. Interestingly, the menu got a slight brush up too so I’m looking forward to try some of their new offerings.

For Watami first-timers, don’t miss our go-to Watami Salad [p495]which is a mix of greens and fresh ingredients with an oriental twist. For the ramen hunter who wants it with some kick, the Spicy Miso Ramen [p545] is for you.

Go on and indulge more of your appetite in Japanese casual dining with their assorted Teishoku (or set meals) – [ie: Gyudon Set p825] , Sushi Boxes, and Stone Pots!

As a tip, and speaking of Teishoku, upgrade the aforementioned Spicy Miso Ramen [p545] into Spicy Miso Ramen Teishoku Set for only p795 and enjoy it with 3pcs gyoza, cabbage, udon, and miso soup.

For beverages, aside from sake, you can also choose from a variety of Japanese wine and cocktails such as Sakura Sangria, Sake High, Izakaya Collins, and Kampai.

Take note that this branch – Watami Glorietta 3– shares a fresh-green inspired patio with Modern Shang and Olive Garden, to its left and right, respectively.

This enclosed patio is quaint but spacious enough to reserve as a function room for about 20-30 persons, I think.

Located at the non-busy 3rd floor of the mall, they also utilized the storefront walkway as a restaurant extension in accommodating additional guests.
