Showcasing Pinoy culture and Negros Occidental‘s iconic Filipino pastry – piaya –  was the running background in the inaugural Puregold CinePanalo Awards Night big winner -“Under a Piaya Moon”, who brought home Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival‘s coveted Pinakapanalong Pelikula award!

While the above-mentioned movie is from the full-length category, budding film-makers also shone as “Last Shift” bagged the same award in the short-film category, held last March 16, 2024, at the Gateway Cineplex 18.
